Date 1970s Description [12] p. : col. ill. ; 43 x 29 cm. Notes Harrison's on the Water served American-style food and was located at 3000 Northeast 32nd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. Situated in an attractive building overlooking the waterway, the restaurant had both indoor and outdoor dining. This restaurant was tailored to the tastes of upper-echelon Midwesterners. Roast prime ribs of beef, New York sirloin strip and filet mignon were the menu preferences with scampi, veal marsala and escargot. It also offered tried but true oysters Rockefeller, shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, roast duckling and barbecued ribs. Desserts at Harrison's were phenomenal: cheesecake with layers of creamy vanilla, chocolate and mocha nut and an authentic rendition of key lime pie with thick custard and a generous dab of whipped cream.
