overlooking
the

, the
restaurant
had
both
indoor
and
outdoor
dining.
This
restaurant
was
tailored
to the
tastes
of
upper-echelon
Midwesterners.
Roast
prime
ribs
of
beef
,
New
York
sirloin
strip
and
filet
mignon
were the
menu
preferences
with
scampi
,
veal
marsala
and
escargot.
It
also
offered
tried
but
true
oysters
Rockefeller
,
shrimp
cocktail
,
French
onion
soup
,
roast
duckling
and
barbecued
ribs.
Desserts
at
Harrison's
were
phenomenal:
cheesecake
with
layers
of
creamy
vanilla
,
chocolate
and
mocha
nut
and an
authentic
rendition
of
key
lime
pie
with
thick
custard
and a
generous
dab
of
whipped
cream.
Harrison's
opened
in the
1970s
and
closed
in the
late
1980s.
