Date 1920 Notes The Pompano Casino, located on the beach at the end of Atlantic Boulevard, was built in the 1920s and despite its name had no gambling activities. Rather, it was a gathering place where people could change their clothes for swimming. It also had a dining room and snack bar which were popular places to eat, especially during those years when there were few other restaurants on the beach. The Casino burned down in 1954.
